Where the Jungle Meets the Sky
Letting Go and Flying Forward: A Paraguay Ziplining Story
Living Life On The Line: Literally & Figuratively :)
Here’s an inside scoop on the lessons that ziplining taught me:
Some may ask: is ziplining worth it?
My whole-hearted answer is: ABSOLUTELY! The birds-eye view you receive when gliding through nature is priceless. 2 in 1 combo = a win-win situation.
This experience gave me the courage to be fearless, bold, and trust nature with both my mind and body. It’s not every day that the average person gets the opportunity to zipline through the lush forests of Paraguay. This was my first time venturing off to the South American continent and learning Spanish. The thought of ziplining was definitely intimidating at first, but there was only one way out, and that was simply floating across to the other side. Once my harness gained traction through the forest, I was in awe of the lush greenery and serene atmosphere from above. In that moment, it was just me, my thoughts, and the peaceful aura nature exudes. At that very moment, I began to wonder: Is this the grand view tropical birds get to experience on a daily basis? Lucky them, if only we could trade places for a day!
Halfway through the ziplining course, I felt the urge to spice it up and flip myself upside down for an extra challenge… who would have thought that an introvert like me would blossom to be such an adventurous daredevil! Thriller experiences like ziplining fuel my spirit and make the bucket lists worth achieving. Why not leave behind a legacy with a pocket full of memories and a heart full of completed dreams? Life is way too short for the shoulda - coulda- woulda’s. I challenge you to make it happen while you have the mobility and privilege of good health to do so.
Conquering my fears in life has pushed me to experience life fully, fight through the anxious thoughts, and replace it with bravery instead. I encourage you to do things while scared, even if it doesn’t feel possible. You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take. Prioritize joy and live with no regrets. The biggest blessings may just be waiting for you on the other side.

Go early in the day for cooler temps and fewer crowds
Most ziplines have minimum and maximum weight limits (often 60–250 lbs, varies by operator)
Wear close-toed shoes and comfortable fitting clothes (i.e: athletic wear)
Reputable operators use steel cables, certified harnesses, helmets, and braking systems.
